Since 2009, SCAYLE has evolved over the time the supercomputer Calendula to the present day, where it has several calculation clusters with different computing technology architectures.

In resume, Calendula has:

  • 300 servers
  • 308TB of RAM memory
  • 6.7 PetaFLOPS (Rpeak)




🆕 New: The Caléndula supercomputer has recently incorporated two new quantum emulator architectures, thereby expanding its advanced computing capabilities.


8 servers, each with the following technical specifications:

  • The A64FX is a 64-bit processor with 48 cores. It is optimized for high performance and efficiency in HPC environments. Each server has a single processor.
  • 32GB of RAM in each server.
  • Infiniband NDR 200Gbps connection.

Allows emulation up to 33 qubits.



1 server with the following technical specifications:

  • 2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8450H processors, with 56 cores (112 total cores on the server) and an operating frequency of 3.5GHz.
  • It has 3TB of RAM.
  • Infiniband NDR 200Gbps connection.

Allows emulation up to 30 qubits.



1 server with the following technical specifications:

  • 1 NVIDIA Grace™ CPU Superchip processor, with 144 cores.
  • 470GB of RAM in each.
  • Infiniband HDR 100Gbps connection.



35 servers with the following technical specifications for each:

  • 2 processors AMD EPYC 9374F (codename Genoa) in each one, with 32 cores (64 cores in total) and working at 3.85 GHz.
  • 2,304GB of RAM memory, each.
  • Infiniband NDR 200Gbps connection.
  • 4 GPU NVIDIA H100 SXM5 80G at each one.

These servers have in total 2,240 cores and 140 H100 GPUs.



This architecture has 200 servers with the following technical specifications for each one:

  • 2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8462Y processors (codename Sapphire Rapids) in each one, with 32 cores (64 total cores per machine) and an operating frequency of 2.8 GHz.
  • RAM memory:
    • 192 servers have 1TB of RAM memory, each.
    • 8 servers have 2TB of RAM memory, each.
  • Infiniband NDR 200Gbps connection.

These 200 servers total 12,800 cores.



26 servers with the following technical specifications:

  • 2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8358 processors (codename Ice Lake) in each one, with 32 cores (64 total cores per server) and a operating frequency of 2.6 GHz.
  • RAM memory:
    • 18 servers have 256GB of RAM memory, each.
    • 8 servers have 1TB of RAM memory, each.
  • Infiniband HDR 100Gbps connection.
  • 1 NVidia Tesla A100 40GB GPU card installed.

These servers have in total 1664 cores.



38 servers featuring the following technical specifications:

  • 37 servers have:

    • 2 processors Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6240 (codename Cascade Lake) in each one, with 18 cores (36 total cores per server) and a operating frequency of 2.6 GHz.
    • 192GB of RAM memory each.
    • Infiniband HDR 100Gbps connection.
    • 7 of these servers have 1 GPU NVidia Tesla V100.
  • 1 server have:

    • 2 processors Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6252 with 24 cores (48 total cores) and a operating frequency of 2.1GHz.
    • 1.5TB de memoria RAM.
    • Infiniband HDR 100Gbps. connection.



This architecture has 1 server, specially designed for Machine Learning / Deep Learning, it is the perfect choice for intensive computational tasks. Its technical specifications are:

  • 2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) E5-2695 v4 processors (codename Broadwell) in each one, with 18 cores (36 total cores per machine) and an operating frequency of 2.10 GHz.
  • 384GB of RAM memory, each.
  • Infiniband HDR 100Gbps connection.
  • 8 NVidia Tesla V100 NVLink cards.



Currently all calculation servers have installed as operating system AlmaLinux in its version 9.4.
