SCAYLE has several computing clusters with different computer technology architectures. In total, Caléndula has 347 servers, 26.3 TB of memory and a total calculation capacity of 509 TFlops (Rpeak).
8 servers with the following technical specifications: 2 Intel Xeon Platinum 8358 processors (codename Ice Lake), with 32 cores each (64 total cores per server) and an operating frequency of 2.6 GHz. 1 TB of RAM memory. Infiniband HDR 100 Gbps network connection. Each of these servers has a NVidia Tesla A100 40GB GPU card installed. These units add up to a total of 512 cores.
We also have another 18 servers with the same characteristics as the previous ones, but with 256GB of RAM. Each of these machines also has a NVidia Tesla A100 40GB GPU card. These 18 servers total 1152 cores.
37 servers that have the following technical specifications: 2 Intel Xeon Gold 6240 (codename Cascade Lake), with 18 cores each and an operating frequency of 2.6 GHz. 192 GB of memory. Infiniband connection HDR 100 Gbps. 7 of these servers have 1 NVidia Tesla V100 GPU.
A last server with this processor architecture has 2 Intel Xeon Gold 6252 processors with 24 cores each. Infiniband HDR 100 Gbps connection. As a highlight feature, mention that it has 1TB of memory.
1 server specially designed for intensive calculation tasks such as Machine Learning / Deep Learning.
This server has 2 Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 processors, with 18 cores each and an operating frequency of 2.10GHz, 384 GB of memory and Infiniband connection FDR 56Gb/s. It also has 8 NVidia Tesla V100 NVLink cards.
114 servers Supermicro that have the following technical specifications: 2 Intel Xeon processors E5-2630 v3 (Haswell) 8 cores @ 2.40 GHz, 32 GB of RAM memory, Infiniband FDR 56Gb/s interface.
30 of the computers have installed 1 Intel Xeon PHI 5110p card with 60 cores.
This cluster is formed by 186 IBM iDataPlex dx360 M4 servers, coming from the supercomputer MareNostrum 3, operated by the Centro Nacional de Supercomputación-BSC. Each servers has the following technical characteristics: 2 Intel Xeon E5-2670 processors 8 cores @ 2.6 GHz, 32 GB of RAM memory and Infiniband connection FDR10.
These servers are interconnected by means of an Infiniband FDR10 connection with a fat-tree topology and a 2:1 blocking factor.
Currently, all the calculation servers have CentOS version 7.7 installed as their operating system.
